03. Start Creating your Story

We’re going to start working on your scripts now. Fill in the main story column with the outline of your story - describe any action, write out any dialogue. Keep it simple, and include an introduction, action, and conclusion. Your story can be fiction or non-fiction. Decide on what type of story you’re going to tell, and then share your outline in the Student Hub.

If you’re stuck for ideas, think about interesting places or stories you have available to you - it doesn’t have to be fancy to be compelling. Do you know someone who has an interesting personality or life that you would love to show people? How about a compelling personal story? Drawing from your own life is always excellent inspiration, and that is especially true for VR. Nobody else sees the world through your eyes, but a well crafted 360 story can allow you to show them. If you’re really stuck, go check out this list of writing prompts - not all will work for 360, but some may help you get started.
